Last Saturday I attended a Tim Holtz (of Ranger Ink fame) workshop- "Words & Windows"- an acrylic album. I found him to be a pleasant surprise. He was very down to earth and approachable. He really got a chuckle out of our New England accents and often mimicked our loss of "R's"(bumpah, coolah, etc...) His manner of teaching was casual yet informative. I learned how to use alcohol ink on transparencies- something I've never worked with before. I must say, I'm not terribly fond of the acrylic books ( not shabby enough and...no paper! My favorite part of scrapping is all about the PAPER!) so I can't say that I love my creation but I've gotten it home and have some ideas on how to finish it that will make it more "my own". All in all, I'm glad I went and would definitely recommend attending his workshops. I really wanted to take his "Grungeboard" Class but it had already filled. Maybe next time! AND...I thoroughly enjoyed shopping at "Colorful Creations"- the scrap store that hosted the classes. Lots and lots of the papers I love!
