what in the world are "inchies"?

After posting the technique for the upcoming (January 29th)Altered Books Monthly class( cutaways and collage with "inchies") many have emailed me- "What the heck is an "inchie"? Inchies are simply 1"x 1" square collage creations. Think "shrunken down Artist Trading Cards". Many artists choose to display inchies in a grid pattern, creating a sort of collage storyboard of sorts. Some great examples can be seen at http://www.art-e-zine.co.uk/1x1.html.
